Review: Les Possédés

Les Possédés Les Possédés by Fédor Dostoïevski
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

By far the most difficult work by Dostoyevsky, I like to compare it with a sketch for something else, a study or even a repository of what was left out of previous and later novels. I was mostly lost in dozens of pages, and as soon as I would get the thread it was just a matter of a few minutes to loose it again,

Review: Illusions perdues

Illusions perdues Illusions perdues by Honoré de Balzac
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

It's so boring no wonder so many readers have put it aside. It took me months to get over this messy tale, where the printing industry in late XIX century in France is the actual main character (!!!) Amazingly, everytime things get interesting, there's a whole change in the scenery and forgoten characters come back to life. Before you pick this up Just remember that are hundreds of better choices for the same period.
